People’s Choice Book Cover Contest

Are you looking for a way to get attention for your book published during 2023 or 2024? Here’s an idea that will cost you nothing and will give your book visibility to a lot of people who may not see it otherwise. Submit your book cover to BWC’s inaugural People’s Choice Book Cover Contest.

The contest will cover books in two categories: books targeted to young readers (age 0 – 6th grade), and books targeted to older readers. You can submit multiple books in each category as long as they have a 2023 or 2024 publication date. All entries will be showcased on our website and social media, where the public will be invited to vote for the winner.  The cover with the most votes in each category wins $50 and a badge to post on your website, social media, or wherever you want. And, of course, bragging rights!

When the contest opens for voting, you’ll have the opportunity to post a link to your family, friends, readers, and followers to encourage them to vote for your book. In that way, all submitted books will have greater exposure and the potential for attracting new readers.

Entry is free; submissions close at midnight on April 4, 2025. Let the people decide—submit your cover today!

 

The Rules

  • Eligible books must have a publication date of 2023 or 2024.
  • If there are not at least 3 entries in a category the entries in that category will be moved to the other category.
  • The author of the book or the creator of the book cover must be a BWC member. (See this page on our website for information on becoming a member.)
  • BWC members must complete an entry form and submit their cover image. Instructions are found on the entry form.
  • Cover images must be in either JPG or PNG format and at the resolution must be at least 72 DPI. (Note: you are responsible for ensuring that your cover is not blurry when viewed online.)
  • Submissions must be received by midnight on Friday, April 4, 2025. Voting commences on Monday, April 7 and ends Wednesday, April 23.
  • Winners will be announced at the 2025 Conference of Writers on Saturday, April 26, 2025. You need not be present to win. (But we hope you will be!)
